Identify the ticket structure first
Before comparing numbers, read the game heading, first draw date, last draw date and number of draws printed on the ticket. Then count the played boards. A board is one complete selection of main numbers and, where the game uses one, its separate PowerBall selection. Letters or row labels help you keep each selection together during the check.
A multi-draw ticket repeats those same boards across several scheduled draws. It does not merge the results from the covered dates. Check one draw at a time, and only mark that date complete after every board has been compared. A ticket can lose on one date and still remain valid for later dates printed on it.
Keep each board independent
Prize divisions are assessed per board. If board A matches two numbers and board B matches three different numbers, the ticket does not have a five-number match. Record the match count beside each board separately. The same rule applies when a scanner displays several rows: each result row should map back to one printed ticket board.
Order usually does not matter for the main numbers, but belonging to the same board does. For PowerBall and PowerBall XTRA, compare the separately selected PowerBall with the separately drawn PowerBall. For Lotto-family results, treat the published bonus ball according to the prize table; it is not another main number that can be borrowed by a different board.
Match related games by their current names
PowerBall XTRA is checked against its own published result even when it uses the same selected line as PowerBall. Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto 5 Max are also separate draw outcomes associated with the Lotto family. A mark showing that an add-on was entered is essential; having the same numbers on a base-game ticket does not automatically create an add-on entry.
Game names can change over time. SnapLotto uses the current names on live pages and keeps retired names only where an older ticket or historical result requires them. Daily Lotto Plus is retained as historical information and should not be treated as a current game. Always let the wording and date printed on the ticket determine which historical record applies.
Read a multi-game scan result
A useful scan result groups findings by game and then by board. It should show the extracted numbers, the relevant published numbers, matched values and the result status for that row. Review the group heading before the coloured balls. Two rows that look similar can belong to different games and therefore use different result and prize records.
If the scanner finds only the base game but the ticket clearly shows an add-on, do not accept the partial result as a complete check. Retake the full ticket in better light or enter the missing ticket detail where the scanner allows it. Similarly, an unexpected extra game should be treated as a recognition warning and checked against the printed selection indicator.
Confirm possible payouts carefully
Winning numbers may be available before the final payout table. During that period, SnapLotto can show matches without claiming a final amount. Once prize divisions are published, match the exact game, draw and division. Rounded jackpot headlines are not the amount automatically paid to every winning board and should not be used as a ticket value.
Keep the original ticket even when every displayed row says no prize. If the photo was incomplete, the draw is still pending or a result was later corrected, check again.
